probably he has such a strong union and the whole issue of freedom of speech thing would have been dragged into it, that the board decided a retaliatory lawsuit wasn’t worth it (it could cost them thousands – and they might still have to hire him back)
I don’t know about that though. We are talking about the difference between freedom of speech and discrimination. One thing is freedom of speech and ability to have your opinion on the issue, but discriminating against somebody based on that belief goes against freedom to be who you are and “no discrimination clause” in every workplace, especially school or college.
